Maverick Business

There are lots of different ways to make money online.
All have one thing in common – a system to get you started.
Choose almost any proven system and you should be successful so long as you stick with it – following each step in detail. So why not pick one today and get started?

It used to be that to work from home meant that you had a home office and worked for someone else. Maybe someone started a home business that took off and they were able to work from home or be home based. Let’s look at two common ways you can work from home.

1. Telecommute

There is no doubt this is one of the fastest growing segments of people who work from home. They do it for the convenience or many times out of necessity. Many different professions telecommute to work every day. Sales people can call on their customers via the internet every morning and follow up by phone without ever leaving their driveway.

Customer service reps can answer the phone at home just as easy as they can driving into an office. Other types of work from home jobs include website designers, freelance writers, and others. If you are not working for someone you can still telecommute and in many cases work for yourself doing it.

2. Starting a home based business has never been easier than it is today. This is a great way to work from home and be your own boss. Depending on the type of work you do you can make a great living and be in charge of your time and your future.

The internet is really creating millionaires and people who pay all of their bills with money left over every month. Today you just need something to sell, a blog to sell it on, and a few advertising and marketing skills to get traffic to your blog. If you can type you can tell your story to the world via a blog.

Blogs are replacing websites as an easy way to sell products and do it working at home on your own computer. If you do not have a product of your own you can sell other peoples products as an affiliate marketer. Most companies will let you join them as an affiliate for free and take care of everything like shipping and collecting the money for you.

These are just two ideas on how you can work from home. If you are a self starter and the type of person who can work unsupervised, working from home may be for you. It all comes down to finding the best way that you enjoy!

6 Tips To A Greener Home

Sometimes the environmental challenges this planet is facing can seem just too great and it can be easy to get dispondent. There is so much we need to do to pull things around that sometimes it’s tempting to question whether such efforts are really worthwhile. Yet as most environmentalists and scientists will tell you – every little change *does* help. Everything you do to help the planet makes things just that little bit better, and hopefully encourages other people to do their bit too.

So let’s take a look at some simple tips that you can apply to your own life to make your own carbon footprint smaller and reduce the effect you have on the worlds resources.

1) Unplug Appliances

Most of us know that leaving household appliances like TVs and DVD players on standby uses a huge amount of energy, but many still eat power even when they are turned off. THis, to me, was a shocking revelation recebtly and so it is important to not just turn off appliances you aren’t using but also to unplug them to save the drain on your power.

2) Buy Locally

To avoid the use of unnecessary fossil fuels, try to buy local foods that haven’t been shipped half way across the country – or even worse – the world. Try to buy only fruits and vegetables that are in season and grown in your local area rather than tropical fruits that have been flown in from abroad at great expense to the planet.

3) Insulate

I recently read an article that suggests that properly insulating your home works out now at virtually free. By properly insulating your loft, cavity walls and adding double glazing, the average household will save enough money over the next 3-5 years to fully cover the cost of all those improvements. And of course after that you’re saving money every day. What a nice feeling!

4) Don’t Waste Water

Water is a precious commodity and it is easy to waste it. For example, try taking showers instead of baths, wash your car by hand rather than in a professional car wash and turn the tap off when you are brushing your teeth.

5) Recycle

Reduce your effects on the planet further by reusing and recycling whatever you can. Turn it into a game for best effectiveness, trying each week to throw away less than the previous week. This will enourage you to find uses for your rubbish and also to think carefully while shopping about what packaging can be recycled effectively. We all throw away an average of 4-5lbs of rubbish a day in the western world so this should be a simple way to make significant reductions.

6) Invest In Green Transport

Ditch your car and try to rely on car sharing, cycling and trains to get around wherever possible. If you live in a rural situation or need a car for work then try to find yourself a hybrid car which stores some of the energy produced in a battery which is then fed back into the motion of your car and can reduce fuel efficiency by an impressive 50% according to experts.

If you recently have suffered a serious personal and financial hardship, do not let it cost you your home. Work with your lender and the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to secure either a federally sponsored refinance or a loan modification. Approximately nine million hard-pressed families qualify for this support; you probably number among them. Contact HUD and your lender before foreclosure proceedings go any further.

Mortgage modification qualification

Of course, your goal is to save your home and protect your credit. Just as importantly, you must demonstrate to your lender’s satisfaction that you can bounce back from your hardship and repay your debt. As you enter negotiations, rest assured your lender wants you to qualify for modification, because foreclosure on your home puts another “toxic asset” on the bank’s books.

After demonstrating that you satisfy the mortgage modification criteria, you still must make the case that you are “a responsible borrower,” and you must prove that you have endured a hardship that has reduced your income or increased your expenses to the point that your home loan payment exceeds 31% of your gross income.

A professional debt counselor or an attorney with special expertise in loan modification can help you make the case for credit worthiness, and he or she will assure the consistency of your financial history and the documentation of your hardship. A medical emergency provides a reasonable example: John Q. Public has kept his mortgage payment current for the past nine years. Then, suddenly and with no warning, he suffered a heart attack, and his health insurance did not cover all of his medical expenses, so that he fell behind on all his bills. His disability payments barely kept him and his family surviving from day to day. Now, he is fully recovered and back at work. The expenses and bills, however, continue to plague him and the family.

A loan modification perfectly satisfies John q. Public’s needs, and he has all the records he needs to support the history he recounts. When you make a similarly compelling case, your lender and HUD will grant your modification, empowering you to come back from your hardship.
