It’s quite complex how they test you with lots of different lenses to test which are better or worse for you. Appart from the fact there are many different problems you can have with your eyes as varying degrees. For example long sighted, short sighted or astigmatism.

I have worn glasses for reading and computer work since a was in junior school and my prescription has changed over the years, so no there is not simple yes or no answer.
